Did James Gunn Deserved to be Fired ?
James Gunn fired as 'Guardians of the Galaxy 3' director after 'indefensible' tweets resurface
I don't know this idiot Mike Cernovich but apparently, he woke up today and decided to destroy James Gunn's career over some dark comedy tweets from years ago that Gunn has acknowledged stating that he was sorry for the twisted tweets. It was a very dark comedy time for Gunn back then. He is a comedian. We’re not best friends but I know James well enough to know that he’s very giving, caring unselfish, humble, honest, talented, spiritual and one funny motherfucker. I feel bad for his family and friends that have to sit and watch this with hands tied and mouth closed. I'm not closing my mouth and I'm sick of this whole left vs right bullshit. That's what this was about. You see Mike Cernovich is a fake Republican he jumped on the Trump Train like many did. James Gunn is your typical Hollywood Liberal Megastar. Mike felt the need to take James out because he's a liberal and got his feeling hurt by what James said politically. I'm a Republican in Texas but that doesn't mean I can't support my Hollywood liberal friends. I may not agree with James Gunn politically but that doesn't mean I need to go and try to destroy the man's career that he has worked so hard to build. Just mean I don't agree with him. I have lost a few friends from supporting Trump and it wasn't because of me saying or doing anything to them it was only because I voted for Trump.
I don’t think, but willing to try if they came back around, I can feel the kind of trust and connection I once felt to those people who are out of my life and have those kinds of friendships with them again, but in terms of building alliances and finding a way for our country to move forward — we do all need to talk to each other, and look for common ground. What do I have in common with James? I don't want to disclose personal things I know about James but for starters, he writes and directs great movies and I like watching great movies lmao you see that has ZERO to do with politics... You get the idea.
Look at you friends and try to find something you have in common focus on that and if you can't have a civil conversation about politics (Trust me I'm guilty of not having a civil convo in the past) then don't allow it to be the wedge that divides you. I will be 51 years old next month and as the years truck on by I realize the most important things in life are not what they were when I was younger. When I was younger I was a Democrat and worked for Edwin W Edwards lol Trump is a Saint (Sorry boss) compared to Double E from back in the day.
I mean Edwin took the State of Louisiana plane to Vegas, Yes, he had "official business" there but also stopped in a few Casinos along the way and partied for a couple nights and that's all I'm sayin hahahahaha that's one small example... Anyway, you get my point. Take care and be respectful to each other. Good friends are hard to come by- try to keep as many as you can. Damn this was a long ass post lol but if you are reading this far down I appreciate the love because of nothing hurts the most then losing a friend that you love and care about ugh that sounded sooo liberal hahahahahaha or maybe human. Peace!
Below is James Gunn's second apology in one day... The man has a lot of class around this.
James Gunn's first apology via twitter
1. Many people who have followed my career know when I started, I viewed myself as a provocateur, making movies and telling jokes that were outrageous and taboo. As I have discussed publicly many times, as I’ve developed as a person, so has my work and my humor.

2. It’s not to say I’m better, but I am very, very different than I was a few years ago; today I try to root my work in love and connection and less in anger. My days saying something just because it’s shocking and trying to get a reaction are over.— James Gunn (@JamesGunn) July 20, 2018
4. For the record, when I made these shocking jokes, I wasn’t living them out. I know this is a weird statement to make, and seems obvious, but, still, here I am, saying it.— James Gunn (@JamesGunn) July 20, 2018
5. Anyway, that’s the completely honest truth: I used to make a lot of offensive jokes. I don’t anymore. I don’t blame my past self for this, but I like myself more and feel like a more full human being and creator today. Love you to you all.
